I started to enjoy cooking a few years ago when I watched a lot of the cooking channel. I was fascinated by the dishes they made and wanted to try myself. Up until then and still now the only thing I really cooked was Mac n cheese. It might be so simple but I liked it. I never really cooked until a year ago when I took "cooking classes" at my camp with a counselor who had gone to culinary school.
The classes were more he cooks we eat, but I wanted to learn so I watched him and asked questions. He was thrilled by this and started to do more classes. This past summer he did a class called potato nato. In this class we just made lots of different kinds of potatoes. He realized in this class that me and three other people were the only ones that actually tried to learn and watched him. He decided to do an actual cooking class just for us. In this class we learned how to grill roast and debone a chicken, but also learn some techniques. I loved this class and it helped me learn. After camp I made one of my favorite dishes, a Mac n cheese stuffed burger.
Although I might not show this passion for cooking, I always have loved it and always will.
